Welcome to EatJoy. This application is developed and operated by GoodMood Co. ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. We have designed EatJoy with a Privacy-First architecture, meaning we collect only what is strictly necessary.

            Key Update (v1.1.7+): We have removed local storage dependencies. All your preferences and bookmarks are now securely synchronized with our encrypted cloud servers using Anonymous Authentication.
        

1. Information We Collect

We believe in minimalism. We do not require you to provide your name, email, or phone number to use EatJoy.

Location Data: We use your device's location to recommend food near you. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently on our servers for tracking your movement history.
Device Information: We may collect non-personal information such as device model, operating system version (e.g., Android/iOS), and unique device identifiers for crash reporting and app optimization.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous data on how you interact with the app (e.g., which food categories you browse) to improve our "FoodBrain" algorithm.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

To provide personalized food recommendations based on your current location and mood.
To synchronize your bookmarks securely across devices via Cloud Firestore.
To display relevant advertisements via Google AdMob (see Section 4).
To detect and fix technical issues (crashes/bugs) via Firebase Crashlytics.

3. Authentication & Anonymity

EatJoy uses Anonymous Authentication. We create a unique, random User ID for you to store your bookmarks in the cloud. This ID is not linked to your personal email, phone number, or social media profiles unless you explicitly choose to link them in future updates.

4. Advertising (AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google may use the advertising ID from your device to generate interests and demographics (e.g., "sports enthusiast").

USA Users: You may opt-out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
EEA/UK Users: We request your consent for personalized ads upon first launch (GDPR Compliance).

5. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ.

For Users in Singapore (PDPA) and Japan (APPI): We ensure that any data transfer adheres to the highest security standards, utilizing Google Cloud's secure infrastructure.

6. Data Security

We value your trust. We implement commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, including:

HTTPS/SSL encryption for all data in transit.
Secure Cloud Firestore rules to prevent unauthorized access.
No local storage of sensitive data on your device.

7. Children's Privacy

EatJoy does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
